Compliance required by: December 19, 2008
( See the "Links" on the left of the page.)

Each "Commercial" or "Public" Pool and Spa installation will require an assessment to determine what will be nessasary to bring it into compliance, especially the pools and spas with only one main drain. Each pool and spa is a custom installation. The placement of the individual pipes beneath the drain covers and the location of the drain covers in the structure varies from one pool or spa to the next, even on the same property. The variation, of a few inches, of the placement of a pipe on the floor or wall of a pool or spa could make the cost of compliance change dramatically. The inspectors WILL be using a tape measure.

Rogers Repair Service charges a reasonable hourly rate for consultations to determine compliance requiremants. Each pool is a custom installation, call for a quote.

There are different solutions for different applications. The specific solution for a specific application will "possibly" have more than one answer. Some situations can be resolved by the change of a drain cover. Some  situations will require a minor or major remodel of the pool or spa drain. Some situations can be resolved with electronic or mechanical devices.

The pool industry has gone into overdrive to devise and produce products to comply with the Act. The various manufacturers have worked hard to get their respective products as many certifications and approvals as possible in the time provided.

We, in the local industry, are using the existing guidelines of the Southern Nevada Health District to comply.

We will update this page as information becomes available.
