The pictures on this page are of a pool redo where the plaster had been coated with an epoxy/fiberglass type of coating that had failed. The coating was delaminated, had blisters and voids. When exposed, it pealed off in sheets. The tiles and light fixture were replaced at the same time. |

After draining the pool and removing the tiles.
The coating material pealing off. Note the white areas on the wall. These were the only places that the previous coating of the epoxy/fiberglass material were still bonded to the original plaster.
Note the sheets of epoxy/fiberglass material lying on the floor that were removed by hand, before the rest was removed with other means.
The remaining material being removed.
The pool surface has been sand blasted and prepared for re-plaster and the plaster bond coat has been applied. The tile setting is next.
The new tile has been set. Very nice tile selection. The finish coats of new plaster are applied. The pool is filled with a hose with a rag on the end to protect the plaster from erosion during the filling process. As the plaster is still relatively soft and vulnerable at this time.
Matching marker tiles in the step plaster.
A nice touch.
Finished, Full, Ready for the party !
